My Ethiopia

Djibouti

Panoramio.org and other photoes of a Land I never visited. The most distant leg of the over 3000 km long, new Ethiopia based EER route for sustainable tourism that spans three Countries. A big project to give an alternative to many stricken by drought. A richer country with a strong French interest and a huge military base, it still has had, recently, 30,000 destitutes hit by famine. Yet it has amazing islands, volcanoes and is largely untouched by tourism. Photoes 40-60 courtesy Alan Scelfo. A journey a good former student of mine concluded on the EER with his father, my colleague at school
