My Ethiopia

Ethiopia's newly found Marvel Cave

Named 'THE GURSUM PEARL' at a meet of the local Gursum Action Group, explored on February 13-14 2009. Ethiopia's first cave with a huge number of rock formations. An active spring. Rare concretions make it one of Africa's three best speleological finds. And, according to the five experts first in, definitely amongst the best they visited in the world. A few photoes only, as most concretions are reserved for International Scientific publication. Photoes Courtesy GUGLIELMO RONAGHI, GIAN PAOLO RIVOLTA, EMILY TAYLOR, DANILO BARATELLI AND MARCO ADORNO PHOTOGRAPER, for the last nine in the set, before the very last ten, by Nasir Ahmed, Ethiopian Explorer.
